Grammy Award Winners, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Delight A Packed House At The Mountain Arts Center In Prestonsburg

*A huge thank you to James Stamper for the assist with this article* The Tedeschi Trucks Band brought their superb show to the best venue of its kind, the Mountain Arts Center on February 25th, 2020. The Mountain Arts Center, or known locally as the “MAC”, Is a 1,040-seat venue that in my mind has the best sound and best lighting system in all east Kentucky. I have seen a lot of shows here from Ralph Stanley to Ricky Skaggs to Goose Creek Symphony to Dressed to Kill – The Kiss tribute band. Every show has been perfect. I would love to see more acts appear at this venue. If…

I debated on putting this photo recap together, but oh what a year it was! We had a ton of fun and there were waaaaaay more photos that I wanted to include, but I tried to just do some highlights and favorites for everyone. Thanks for everything and we’ll see you at the…

Lexington Brought The Love As Magnolia Boulevard Unleashed Their Debut EP

If you live in Kentucky, you need to be paying close attention to the musical community. Why? Well, I’m glad you asked. There has likely never been a time where Kentucky has possessed more talent than she does right now. Seriously. Allow me to use Magnolia Boulevard as a shining example for ya. Kentucky shines with artists like Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Black Stone Cherry and Tyler Childers at the top of their games while our legends continue to thrive. Loretta Lynn, Dwight Yoakam, Ricky Skaggs, The Kentucky Headhunters and many more are still performing to large crowds all over the world. While that’s truly wonderful, I want you to…

Dancing The Night Away With Magnolia Boulevard At The Burl

If you’ve seen this site before, you’ll know the concept. I find Kentucky bands and artists that I feel need a little spotlight and I do my best to convey the reasons you should care. My motto is pretty simple, support the artists or lose the art. That should be a pretty compelling argument, but I’m sure you’ll want more, so let’s get started. One of the bands that have been on my radar for some time, is Lexington’s Magnolia Boulevard. I’ve watched several performances on the ole Tube of You, but I just hadn’t had the opportunity to catch them live. Thankfully though, that all changed on Saturday night…
