Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein Destroys Manchester Music Hall In Lexington
Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein is a legend in the annals of Punk Rock history. At the tender young age of sixteen, he was skulking about the stage in Frankenstein attire playing quick licks for Hall of Fame snubbed Horror Punk Band, The Misfits. The costume-clad group made a name for themselves in the early eighties with horror-themed theatrics and morbid, sometimes outlandish lyrics that embodied the true nature of Punk Rock. After going through several members in his previous band, Gorgeous Frankenstein, Doyle along with the band’s latest singer, Alex Tory decided to move on under Doyle’s name. Eatin’ Big Time. Tyler Childers Makes A Triumphant Return To The Bluegrass.
I’ve spoken at length on this site about how special shows are when an artist returns home to the folks that helped create them. I’m going to do that again, but this time, it’s different. It’s special. It’s electric and if you missed it, I am truly sorry. Lawrence County was the spot where the earth and cosmos collided to allow us earthlings to receive our Country Music Savior, but Lexington, Kentucky and Huntington, WV shaped this young man into the entertainer that he is. Lexington in particular, has never really been known as a “metal community.” In all honesty, it still isn’t, but Saturday night at the Manchester Music Hall, you folks delivered like I’ve never experienced you in roughly 18 years of going to concerts. First, you sold-out Manchester Music Hall. Second, I saw ZERO fights despite massive amounts of liquid courage being consumed. As a whole, the night was a wet, sweaty, loud celebration of four great bands doing their best to deliver a show like no other. Did y’all succeed in making a fun and loving…

Guitar Virtuoso John 5 Makes A Stop At Lexington’s Manchester Music Hall
There are very few guitarists that are as versatile as John 5. He’s known for his gothic styling and stints playing with both Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie, but there is much more to this guitar virtuoso. He has even written a song with Kentucky’s own, Black Stone Cherry. That track is titled “Killing Floor” and can be found on their ‘Between The Devil & The Deep Blue Sea’ release. We were certainly grateful that he chose to make a stop in Lexington at the Manchester Music Hall. We hope you enjoy the photos!
