Exclusive Premiere! Lexington’s Sour Cream Drops Their New Single, ‘Hey Holly’
Lexington’s Sour Cream is a band that has held my attention since I first read about them. I’m sure you’re curious where I first heard of them, so follow along for the next couple of paragraphs, you’ll appreciate this one or at least be intrigued by it. I have known several of the gentlemen in The Kentucky Headhunters for years. Guitarist Greg Martin is truly one of the most genuine, loving and positive individuals that I’ve ever had the pleasure to have met. I respect Greg on many levels, so trusting him when it comes to music, is an absolute no-brainer.

REVIEW: Don Rogers And The Apostlebillies Declare ‘This Ain’t My Generation’
The deeper we dig into the musical fabric that has created the wonderful sounds and support we now enjoy in our Commonwealth, one name has continued to pop-up, and that name is Don Rogers. I first found Don about 18 months ago, but as life tends to keep us busy, Summer came along and all the coverage and/or the creation of festivals we try and provide, my research got pushed to the back burner.

Johnny Conqueroo are no strangers to Capture Kentucky. We’ve had the unique opportunity to watch these young men grow into a dynamic trio that can hold their own on any stage. Black Stone Cherry Brought The Party To Pikeville To Close Out Their 2019 Tour
When someone says, “I’m headed out to a rock show.” Pikeville is usually not the first city you would think of, but on Sunday, Pikeville was THE place to be. Edmonton, Kentucky’s Black Stone Cherry invaded the newly renamed Appalachian Wireless Arena. Sunday was the bands’ final performance of 2019, so you best believe they were ready and eager to take care of business, but before that could happen, another band of Kentuckians kicked the night off. The Josephines are a name

Getting To Know Louisville’s Next Attempt. They Are Bringing Punk Back In A Big Way!
I was shoveling my face with one of Frank’s Deli ‘s behemoth turkey sandwiches, trying to figure out how I was going to fill a two-hour gap between classes when I decided to send a message to an artist friend of mine, see what was going on in the local art scene. Between shows, she said she was working on album art for a local Pop Punk Group. My interest was piqued, so I inquired further. The group was called Next Attempt and they have been logging the hours on the local scene, produced a quality EP and have something of a following in Louisville. I typed in their name…

Grayson Jenkins Delivers ‘Cowboy Dream’ With An All-Star Cast
Grayson Jenkins needs no introduction around here, but since we have a pretty decent amount of new folks, I’ll give ya the cliff notes version. Grayson is yet another Kentuckian that deserves your attention. He’s been honing his skills for several years and he’s grown exponentially better as a vocalist over the last couple of years.

Charlie Daniels, The Kentucky Headhunters and Kaleb Lee Delight In Pikeville!
One of the things Jonathan told me he was looking for when I joined Capture Kentucky several years ago, was that if it was cool and happened in Kentucky or had a Kentucky connection he was interested. Let me ask you this and you tell me if this qualifies. I think I know the answer before I ask but here goes, does The Kentucky Headhunters playing on stage in the mountains of eastern Kentucky qualify as cool? Maybe an emerging artist in Kaleb Lee and former contestant on The Voice born in western Kentucky playing on that same stage, is that cool enough? Or to top Kaleb and The Headhunters,…
